A pochi mesi di distanza dalla sua uscita, “Double Deck”, secondo prodotto solista del rapper calabrese Don Diegoh, ha esaurito la prima tiratura. Le date in giro per l’Italia, i remix di alcuni brani, le recensioni in merito, fanno da corollario al disco. Non poteva mancare un segno che rendesse note gran parte delle facce implicate nel viaggio. Quale miglior segno di un video? Quale miglior momento per farlo se non il momento in cui le vendite e il lancio del prodotto non preoccupano (semmai abbiano mai costituito una preoccupazione, come capita a taluni) ? L’incontro con Andrea Menniti, già curatore del progetto Onda Underground (www.myspace.com/ondaunderground) che lo vede spesso autoprodurre numerosi video live di gran parte degli artisti Hip Hop Italiani, europei e U.S.A si è rivelato sin da subito significativo e prolifico. Ne viene fuori un video, girato in estate a Crotone, città Natale di Don Diegoh, in compagnia degli amici di sempre, nei luoghi di sempre. Tra questi recitano un ruolo significativo i breaker Niccolò, Antonio, Funky-Cus, Mad, T-Man & Rusty, i Writer Kes e Decks, il fidato grafico Ciccio Tarma e l’attore nato Roberto Corrado. Il brano, estratto ovviamente da “Double Deck”, è Take This: trattasi della canzone numero uno delle sedici presenti nel compact. Il suono del pezzo è affidato all’esperto e rinomato Macro Marco, il quale, come di consueto, tira fuori un Head-banger che carica la gente nei live, mettendo d’accordo gli estimatori del gusto classico e i promotori del sound moderno.

Just a few months after it’s first release the second solo album from young and talented rapper from Calabria Don Diegoh “Double Deck” is already sold out. The shows through Italy, the remixes of some of the tracks and the reviews regarding it are the obvious and logical consequence for this record. It couldn’t be left without a sign, which could show most of the faces of the people involved.
What a better sign than a video? What a better moment to do it if not the one when the sales and the launch of the product aren’t worrying(if they ever were a worry, like it happens sometimes)?
The encounter with Andrea Menniti, already responsible for the project “Onda Underground” (www.myspace.com/ondaunderground), in which he produces an ammount of videos for many italian hip-hop artist but also american and europeans,has been prolific and significant from day one. The video turns out to be shot during the summer in Crotone, the city where Don Diegoh was born, with his lifetime friends in their lifetime spots.Among them the breakers Niccolò, Antonio, Funky-Cus, Mad, T-man & Rusty, the writers Kes and Decks, the trusted graphicdesigner Ciccio Tarma and the born actor Roberto Corrado play a significant role. The track, obviously extracted from “Double Deck”, is “Take this”, that is also the first track out of the sixteen recorded on this album.
The sound is given in to the expert hands of the well known Macro Marco, who, as usuall, gives us another head-banger, that fills with energy the crowds in live shows and has the fans of that classic vibe and the promoters of a new sound easily agree.
